    What is DigiD?

    is your digital identity. You use it to log in to government websites, for example the Tax Administration, the municipality, DUO and your health insurer.

    Much contact with the government in the Netherlands goes through the internet. That is why you almost always need , also to apply for care or .

    Using it safely

    Your is personal. Never give your password or code to anyone else, not to family either, nor to someone who says they are from the government.

    You share your (BSN) only with bodies that need it. Preferably use the app.
